Fragrant

This week I walked through my neighborhood and saw this beautiful peony.  These flowers have the most wonderful fragrance, and I had to take it in.  The home I grew up in had flower beds filled with several varieties of this flower.  As far as I know they still bloom there today.  That fragrance brought back some fun memories of playing in that yard as a kid.

Using Lightroom 3, I have cropped the image and added the vignetting.  The lovely colors and rain drops are compliments of Mother Nature.   I’m linking up today with LeAnne for Flower Art Friday (yes, a day early!). Click the link below to see the other amazing images.

Flower Art Friday

I’m sharing this cute little pink flower with Flower Art Friday.

It’s been a while since I used Picasa, the free photo editing software.
Most of the time I just use Lightroom to make any adjustments in contrast,
color, or to do any cropping…and I just know some basics for using that.
But this time, for some flower art, I decided to mess with this image.
Do I recall what I did? Hmmmm…..
I know I used the pencil sketch edit, increased the saturation a bit,
and added some vignetting, and who knows what all.

Flower Art Friday

Today I’m linking with LeAnne at http://www.photosbyleanne.net for Flower Art Friday.
This flower is called columbine, and is a favorite of ours. This image is SOOC, or “straight out of the camera”.  Sometimes it’s nice to edit and add textures and other layers to images, but I don’t do that very often.  In this case I think you just can’t improve on the beauty of this flower.
Have a fabulous Friday!
