Slowing down

I leave you this week with this cute little snail, creeping across the sidewalk at the retreat.  She (at least that is what I call her) seemed to be reminding me that we need to slow down.  It’s not often that I see live snails, but this summer I have seen several of them.

For my photographer friends, I took this with my Samsung smart phone.  That is so not like me…but I’m learning to embrace that little bit of technology and use it wisely.  The macro feature is pretty decent.  A free download called Aviary allowed me to do some post processing that I like.

All things photographic aside….
May you have a weekend filled with quiet, where you can relax and simply enjoy life.

  1. Embracing technology. Yay for you. I can't seem to fall in love with my iPhone as camera yet. I guess I'll have to just go slowly like your friend.

  2. Oh, no – not you too! I am surrounded by smartphones and their amazing apps and I feel like I'm the only photographer in the world without a useable camera in my phone. 🙂

Seriously, a wonderful image (that macro feature is pretty darn good) with lovely processing. And an important life lesson.
