December Photo Heart Connection

This simple little acorn reminded me

that there is always hope…

that when the darkness seems to overcome us there is always light somewhere to be found…

that when the darkness takes the form of tragedy,
the light comes to us through the kindness of others…

that in our endings are our beginnings…

that some things within us have to die so that something new can take root.

This little acorn showed me

that from the simplest, smallest act can come the greatest impact…

that often it is up to us to plant the seed

and cultivate it

so that it can grow.

  2. What a beautiful acorn. Nature is the perfect artist. You received so much inspiration from this little natural wonder. "In our endings are our beginnings" is perfect to remember and it happens time and time again. May the light always shine in your darkness to lead the way.

  3. Lovely Deborah! What an amazing message to take from this simple, small seed. Big things can grow from something small, once planted and nurtured. Thank you for sharing this beautiful message in the Photo-Heart Connection this month! Happy New Year!

  4. Wow…all that inspiration and insight from something so small. I like the choice of BW for this image and it being alone-nearly as sturdy as the tree it will become, in this stark setting.
