A creative day

81-365 wreath.jpg

Been a little crafty today.

This wreath is made from an old book, following the directions found here.  The book was a Westinghouse cookbook, in which several recipes had “suet” as one of the main ingredients….and since I don’t cook with that stuff I decided I could sacrifice the book for something decorative.

This is a close up of the folded pages that make up the wreath.  A few pages in the book had that orange color on them, as you see at the top.

While I worked on this wreath today I listened to a podcast from the NPR program “On Being”, which airs on Sunday mornings.   You can find their website at www.onbeing.org, which includes the podcast for each show.

Happy Saturday!

    1. Thanks, Tammy! Though I'm not a scrap-booker I really do enjoy making things. When I saw this in a magazine I had to try it. Digi-scrapping sounds interesting…I have never really looked into that. I hope you had as much fun creating as I did today!

  1. This is so pretty, love that it came from a cookbook. What a wonderful job you did on it. Thanks for sharing the link and the podcast for us.

We are enjoying all the snow we finally got. Sam has been outside nonstop, so glad we are on school break so he can enjoy it more.

Looking forward to see what you will do in 2013, it's always inspiring.
