Saturday’s Featured Image (cough, cough…)

Usually I choose a photo that I have taken in the previous 6 or 7 days to share with you here on Saturday.  I program this ahead of time so that I can take advantage of Saturday morning and sleep a bit longer…though I rarely do, since my body has this internal alarm that is pretty persistent.

Today, however, is different.  I have not been out taking photos all week due to a nasty cold that came on and then progressed to a sever sore throat.  Thanks to the miracles of modern medicine and some good old penicillin, I am on the road to recovery.

I chose this image from my visit to see our grandson, a puzzle piece that in a cute 2 year old moment he said was “Gamma’s house”.  (See my heart melting?…)  Today it reminds me of that moment, but it also speaks of staying IN the house and ON the couch and just letting my body heal.   Medicines do help, but there is nothing like rest to help the body along.

The miracles of modern medicine….from a simple aspirin to complex medical procedures.

Not often do a make a request here, but today is an exception.  My own mother had major surgery on Friday to remove cancer from her body.  And I am asking you, in your own way, to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Now, back to the couch….
