The skin of a tree, full of texture, colors, tiny bits of lichen, and so much for the eye to see.
Nature’s own abstract painting, if you will. Something for you to enjoy on this lovely Friday.
(A word of thanks for the folks at WCOIL who repaired my computer.)
Yes – definitely a tribute to an abstract painting. That rusty orange contrasts so beautifully with the surrounding blue-gray bark. A tribute to texture.
I love the abstract feel of this image, it has so much texture you feel like you can touch it. And what a beautiful blog you have. I subscribed by email so I can keep up with it, and look forward to reading more of your older posts. I loved those that I happened across and the thoughtfulness that you put into your photography and your writing.

When I first saw this I thought it was rust! There's amazing colors and textures to be seen in nature
