On our walk along the reservoir a few days ago we found this pair of killdeer.
As the sun was setting it reflected gold light off the rocks around the water, making what looks like liquid gold on the surface.
This is what was left of someone’s lunch.
Have a fabulous Saturday, and I’ll see you back here on Monday!
Oh, I adore that liquid gold swirled into the sapphire water – lovely reflections.
What lovely photos…I agree, the liquid gold water photo is stunning! Thanks so much for sharing.
Beautiful images! I love the gold on the water! I recently ran across some Killdeer and they were so cute, pretending they were hurt, flopping on the ground and loudly calling out to distract from from their nearby nest. I didn't realize what they were doing until I came home and checked them out in my bird book!! Wonderful capture of the two!
I love the blue and gold reflections – so cool to see on a hot summer day. And that fish skeleton laid out on the rock makes me think of prehistoric fossils.
Exquisitely beautiful details. Especially love the golden ripples.
