a little mixed media

When it comes to mixed media, I
am smitten.  I love to play with shapes and colors and Stuff to see
what can come from all of it.
My hands have had paint on them …. 2 days in a row.  Plus some glue, and paper, and more paint.  There is just nothing like making creative messes.
This piece is not finished. A lady waits to wear this, but I am not sure how she will appear.  You’ll know soon.

Just wanted to share this with you, because if I do that then it helps me keep at it.

I “lost” two hours last night working on this and two other projects.

Lost is not the right word.

I was in The Zone.

  1. Deborah, this is absolutely lovely…! And I know exactly what you mean about being in The Zone. It's a wonderful place to be, isn't it? I haven't gotten my paints out in too long – you make me itch to do it again! Oh, and my family is originally from St. Marys, Ohio! I haven't been there in many, many years, but I have wonderful memories of visiting both sets of grandparents there as a child.

  2. I have no idea how to do mixed media-but I appreciate it. Love the buttons on this. Isn't it great to get lost in creativity? Helps me stay sane.

  3. Debra, LOVE LOVE THIS!! What a cute little dress you made, those buttons are pretty, they look sparkly! Can't wait to see the girl wearing this dress, how lucky for her.

SOOOOOOO happy your getting messy and enjoying THE ZONE, that's how I am also and it's so fun to be there. Have fun and thanks for sharing this side of you, makes my day!

  4. WHOA, lady! You are definitely artistic! This dress is adorable! I yearn to see more of what you have to offer. Wasn't it cool to have all that "stuff" on your hands. I particularly like it when the paint stains my hands a little, it serves as a gentle reminder.
