My favorites

I’m wrapping up the week by sharing with you my favorite images from Magee Marsh last weekend.  A little post processing has enhanced each of these…and here is my red winged black bird image cropped and edited.  (previously posted, unedited, here)

This one of the marsh is one I keep coming back to.  The clear reflections, the bubbles in the water created by a school of very small fish, blades of green against the dull browns, and the messiness of nature.

Life is that way, isn’t it?
Imperfect. Messy. Challenging. Tangled messes here and there, but amazing points of beauty scattered throughout.

Overall, it’s pretty awesome when you think about it.

  2. Deb – yes, these are definitely keepers from your visit to the marsh. As I said before, that bird, balanced on the stalk of grass, is an amazing capture. And I love your words connecting the beauty of messy nature with your image. For someone who prefers perfection, it is a good reminder that life isn't like that.

  3. Beautiful images! I've enjoyed your trip to the marsh! As always, your words are just perfect for your images! We all need the gentle reminder that, yes, life is messy, but we can still find beauty and joy!

  4. Deborah, I'm grateful for your eye that sees the beauty in the "messiness" of nature, and for your words that turn "messiness" into a message. I love the red-winged blackbird perched on those winter-ravaged cattails, so perfectly balanced. And the marsh – that scene looks so peaceful. It's a beautiful image.

  5. Hey, Deb!

May your day be filled with Peace and Light!
