That tree

This is for Marlene.
It’s that tree that we see when we drive up along the interstate.
It is so grand and massive and powerfully beautiful.
How old can it be?
Was it in the yard of a farm house way back when?
Did children climb and play in it?
How many countless creatures have made their home here?
Taken from my car window while Mark drove.

  1. so cool! that is an awesome tree!… one of those trees that probably looks so beautiful no matter what season! i love it! and great shot for being, what i like to call, a "drive-by shooting"!

  2. What history in that tree! You'll have to go back and capture it for us in all the seasons. I bet it is fantastic in the green of summer and then in full color in fall and finally with winter's starkness. See, I've created a new series for you 🙂

  3. My first thoughts were just like Brenda's! You need to do a series for us!! That tree is just amazing! So many years it's stood right there and watched life go by! I wish it could talk, it would have wonderful stories to tell!
