Links to stuff

Here are a few links to some things I just want to share with you.

I came across this link to a book about Google+, and you can download the ebook for free for a limited time.  If you are trying to learn more about Google+ this is a great resource.

Love this brief story by Paulo Coelho.

Found another photography blog that I really like here.

My online friend, Teresa, inspires me with her artwork.

Brenda, who visits here often, has an inspiring post and images here.

I leave you with this photo of some rust…and can someone tell my why rust is so interesting? For some reason, with my renewed interest in photography, my eye is always drawn to rusty metal these days.  Hmmm, maybe there is a photo project waiting to be had…

Have a great weekend!

  1. Wonderful rust abstract you've shared.

I've never been able to put my finger on the attraction of rust – or older objects and buildings in general as photography subjects. They just seem to have this soul that new things haven't developed yet.

  2. Hey Deborah…beautiful rusty image. Love how you filled the frame so that the texture is what it's about. No context.
Thanks for all the links. Google +. Hmmmm.

  3. Hi Deb
Thanks for the kind message. You inspire me with your photography and storytelling. I am always in awe with the way you see things. You express yorself so eloquently in words along with your photos. My sister is a "budding" photographer and I told her to follow your lead and see what you are doing. Keep going!

  4. Deb – thanks so much for the "shout-out" and link to my blog – I so appreciate it!

It's the texture and colors and unpredictable patterns of beautiful rust that make it such an appealing subject. I too like how you have filled your frame with this exquisite example.

  5. Before looking through the lens as a photographer, I had never taken a picture of rust. Now, every time I see rust I take pictures of it! My husband definitely doesn't "get" that!! I love the texture of rust and the patterns it creates! Thanks for the links, you've included such a variety; something for everyone!! Have a nice weekend!!
