Scavenger Hunt January 8th

Ashley Sisk of Ramblings and Photos is the brains behind this Scavenger Hunt Sunday thing. It is addicting. And it is Fun!  She gives 5 words each week that you can use to inspire you to take photos. Then we link to her blog and share what we have done. It is great fun to look and see what other bloggers have done, how they have ‘interpreted’ the 5 words and created images.  For today the words are One Color, Laundry, Empty, One Dozen and Soft. Here are my photos:

One Color of old thread, still on wooden spools…

Laundry. Okay, I set this up. I don’t really use these clothespins….

Empty. A house in foreclosure…the windows haunt me because there is no life in there.

Twelve…colored pencils…calling to me to start drawing!
Soft. Okay, I know it’s a stretch…but powdered sugar IS soft, don’t you think?

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Wow Deborah. You're going to need to change the title of your blog soon to Learned as I Went or something. Great set, there's not a one I don't like-well that foreclosure one is sad. As I sell real estate I see far too much of that. Usually in the houses you can actually feel the sadness of broken lives.
Knock it off with those yummy donut shots! If I had to choose a fave it would be that thread.

  2. Hi Deborah, it's Deanna from "Picture" classes. Love your choices for the hunt. All really quite lovely!! Hope you have a great week ahead!!

  3. Great collection of images! I really like the silky-sheen of the lovely aqua thread, wrapped on their wooden spools. And your clothespin setup – creative and imaginative.

  4. beautiful series. There's something so sad seeing that beautiful house sitting empty. I LOVE that first shot…i enjoy seeing vintage spools of thread.

  5. WOW another amazing round for you. I love seeing what you will come up with. That last one is making me hungry so good thing we have homemade cookies for me to enjoy.
