The View From Here

“Take stock of all the beauty Mother Nature provides for us…”
This is today’s prompt for Picture the Holidays.
Looking out my living room window, using my Tamron 70-300mm lens,
I saw this adorable sparrow in our pine tree a couple days ago.
These words come to my mind:
“I sing because I’m happy. I sing because I’m free.
For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches me.”
(Civilla D. Martin, 1905)

  1. Great capture! And, not easily done through a window, I'm guessing. Sweet sparrow (and, for fear of being too picky…it's a spruce, not a pine ;D…sorry!)

  2. That is one sweet little bird and you cptrued his sweetness. We have a bush outside our Kitchen windows and the sparrows are all there for the winter. It's so fun to watch them busily go about their day. If the windows were open I'm sure I'd hear them singing. Thanks for reminding me to take the time.
