Exploring with my camera,
finding textures of all kinds in previous photos I’ve taken….
The imprint of a leaf in a sidewalk downtown…
The rough hewn wood logs of a cabin…
The glassy, rippled surface of water in a fountain…
Waffle like bricks of an old street in Germantown, Columbus, Ohio…
Smooth and rough rocks..
Soft fabric, and a waxy lump of beeswax…
Crumbly dry dirt during the hot summer…
Dried algae on a rock, looking like yarn…

Deb,
What amazing texture examples you have gathered. From rough, to soft, to glassy, to smooth, to crumbly – you've got it covered. Lovely examples all. My favorite – the leaf imprint on the sidewalk – wonderful juxtaposition of the man-made and the natural.
love this! it's amazing how an up close shot or different angle gives the viewer a completely new perspective! thank you for sharing so much inspiration 🙂

I love that algae…it does look like wet string…
and the dry dirt like chocolate on top of a brownie…

Wow, you found a great range of textures. Particularly love the algae and the water ripples. Fantastic!
