Sharing Artwork From a Friend

Thanks to the miracles of modern technology (Facebook) I have been able to reconnect with a dear friend from my grade school and high school days. Bonnie and I were best friends during those formative years. We spent lots of time together and had a lot of fun! Once we graduated from high school, life took us on our own separate ways and we lost touch with each other. It has been such a joy to be able to find her and share our life stories again.

Bonnie has always had a gift for drawing and artwork, and this drawing here is one of her recent works.  Isn’t it beautiful? She asked if she could use one of my photos as inspiration for a new drawing, and I was thrilled that she asked!  The small photo here is the one she used. You can read about her method of drawing on her blog, Inkspots and WaterWashes.

Her beautiful drawings are available in her Etsy Shop, Ariadne’s Thread. Please take the time to check out her fabulous work. You will enjoy it, I promise!

  2. Hey, Deb!
This was soooo much fun! We'll have to do it again sometime! Right now, grad school and clients and taking most of my time, but I loved having this project to relax me in the evenings! I am now back to working on that "forever" iris!!!
    Love you!

  3. How nice to have an old friend back in your life again. She did a beautiful job on her flower, how neat to use a photograph as her sketch. Thanks so much for sharing with us.
