ordinary grass
sprinkled with rain
dotted with violets
carpeting the earth,
or this yard,
this inhabited place…
reaching into the earth
for sustenance,
stretching for the sky
drinking in the sun’s light,
soft now under my feet…
ordinary and fragrant
on a spring morning
glistening,
beckoning…
Your words match the beautiful image perfectly. Is that your original poem? Lovely post!
This photo with these words, Deb–so gorgeous and heart-touching.
Thank you, dear person, for taking the time to leave your words on my blog–they mean so much.
Have a beautiful, sunshiny day, my friend.
