Red slippers+couch+blanket=Nap

Here is the assignment for today in my Big Picture Class: “Today I encourage you to tune in to your needs and when it’s time to take a break, heed the call. A simple recharge is sometimes all it takes. Take a deep breath, have a seat, relax your shoulders and allow for a little downtime. It’s called self-love and we all deserve it. Especially this time of year!” (Tracey Clark)

The one thing I know I do fairly regularly is Nap. My coworker and I do the Monday “nap score” when we get back to the office.  (She usually wins!)

This assignment was surprisingly difficult. Not the photo part but the thinking of how to recharge. Today has convinced me of a need to be more deliberate at this, to really find ways to consistently  practice the self-love she speaks of.

I wonder how many of you who read this are in the same boat? I would love to hear from you, so post a comment here or send me an email.  What do you do to replenish your soul? Do you have a regular routine or do you (like me) struggle to be kind to yourself consistently?
